UK Business IT Parachutes in Technician!

Not content with driving to customer sites, UK Business IT Technicians have now reverted to parachuting to customer sites to reduce travel time and improve customer response times even further.

Actually the occasion was a little more serious as Ian Gloyne, Senior Technician at UK Business IT took part in a sponsored sky dive to raise money for The Moira Fund, a local charity in July 2010.

The Moira Fund, a grant making charity, has been established in memory of Moira Jones, who was murdered in Queens Park, Glasgow, in May 2008.

Following her death, family, friends and colleagues of Moira wished to establish a fund in her memory that would support others who found themselves bereaved through violent death at the hands of another.

Ian, Emily & Will Dangerfield and Matt Clarkeson completed their tandem skydive from an altitude of 12,000 feet. On a perfect sunny summer’s day which enabled friends and family to watch their descent, they all landed safely and gently! (apart from Ian who hit the ground with a loud thud).

The team managed to raise over £4000 for the Moria Fund.
